Future Activities

Over 2009-11, Learning Communities will work with the following Aboriginal communities to improve access to educational opportunities:

  • Athabasca Tribal Council (Fort Chipewyan, Fort McKay, and Anzac, Conklin and Javier)
  • Bigstone Cree Nation (Wabasca-Demarais and Peerless Lake, Trout Lake, Calling Lake, Sandy Lake, Chipewyan Lakes and Red Earth Creek)
  • Métis Settlements Council (Buffalo Lake, Fishing Lake, East Prairie, Gift Lake, Paddle Prairie, Peavine, Kikino and Elizabeth)
  • North Peace Tribal Council (Fox Lake, Garden River and John D’Or Prairie)
