Transalta's Aboriginal Bursary Program

Understanding and Respect
Before thinking of itself as a generator of electrical power, TransAlta strives to be a responsible neighbour that partners with local communities to meet our collective needs, including Aboriginal groups that are affected by and benefit from our operations.
We are committed to building open, constructive, mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships with the Aboriginal communities with whom we are neighbours.

Each year, TransAlta offers up to seven $3000.00 bursaries to Aboriginal students attending full-time college or university programs and up to three $1,000.00 bursaries for those in full-time trades programs. The annual deadline to apply is September 15th. For information including eligibility criteria or an application form, visit www.transalta.com/communities/aboriginal or contact Aboriginal Relations at TransAlta at 403 267-3763. Applications are also available at select post-secondary offices.
